Szarka Pince, Tokaji Cuvée 2019 (375ml)

At 10 years old, Szarka Pince are a relatively new winery in the historic region of Tokaji. However, the family-run winery are already making a name for themselves and are true rising-stars of the region. Focusing on natural processes and minimal intervention, they make wines which show the character, mineral taste and distinct acidity of the Mád terroir. Tokaji Cuvée 2019 is made from a late harvest blend of 60% Furmint, 20% Muscat and 20% Hárslevelű. Leaving the grapes on the vine for longer has concentrated the sugars leading to a nose of deliciously sweet notes of honey, elderflower, blossom and pear move onto a rich palate of honeyed apricots and a raisin-y finish. An incredibly moreish wine and one that pairs beautifully with blue cheese.
